Before you begin
MapleTime speaks the Global MapleStory v83 protocol, patch 1, locale 8.
Use a compatible client you are legally authorized to use. MapleTime does not
host or distribute proprietary executables, DLLs, binary WZ files, music, or
artwork.
Create your account
Open the player registration page, choose a private account name, use a unique password, and verify your email. Registration is processed by a private worker. The website never receives database credentials.
During the portal beta, automatic first-login registration remains available as a rollback. Do not intentionally create the same account through both paths.
Configure the server address
Copy the address displayed on the play guide into your client’s
config.ini:

- Complete the normal beginner tutorial and learn movement and starter skills.
- Reach the first job advancement rather than grinding far past it.
- Follow nearby quests and replace starter equipment from ordinary drops.
- Use
@guideafter advancement for a level-appropriate direction. - Enable
@partysearch onif you welcome party-finder invitations. - Finish with one visible achievement: a job, quest chain, useful upgrade, party clear, or boss prerequisite.
